Using periodical indexes

Periodical indexes can be on specific subjects, for example:
       Aquatic Sciences & Fisheries Abstracts
       or
       Art Index

or may cover a whole range of subjects, for example:
       Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe
       or
       Academic Search Premier

       for the full list of titles and subjects available.

Academic Search Premier, is a broad-based database and a good starting point for many undergraduate research papers.

It includes records for many popular and academic journals published
in the last 10 years or so, as well as many full text articles.

Searching any periodical index successfully takes practice and experience.
