Provides comprehensive access to U.S. legislative information from Congressional Information Service, Inc. With Congressional Universe, you can search an index of congressional publications from 1970 to the present, retrieve legislative histories for public laws going back to 1970, find testimony from congressional hearings,track bills as they move through the House and Senate, search the Congressional Record and Federal Register, and locate information about members and committees. A bibliographic index to publications in statistics and related fields. Includes coverage, in most cases from 1974 (or first issue if later) to the present (currently, volumes published in 1997) from 106 "core journals" (and pre-1974 coverage for a number of them), selected articles since 1974 from about 900 additional journals, and about 8000 books in statistics published since 1974. Dissertation Abstracts (for UNH users only)

Provides access to information about doctoral dissertations and master's theses from over 1,000 graduate schools and universities. Includes bibliographic citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as last semester. Citations for dissertations published from 1980 forward also include 350-word abstracts written by the author. Citations for master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. The full text of more than one million of these titles is available in paper and microform formats. Dissertations completed at UNH after 1997 are available in full-text format. Comprehensive indexed bibliography with selected abstracts of the world's economic literature, produced by the American Economic Association. eHRAF - Collection of Ethnography (for UNH users only)

The eHRAF Collection of Ethnography, published annually by Human Relations Area Files (HRAF), is a full-text, fully-indexed cultural database. Focuses on mostly pre-industrial cultures from around the world, and on North American immigrant groups. eHRAF differs from other databases because the documents (e.g. books, journal articles, dissertations) are indexed at the paragraph-level with over 700 subject codes from the Outline of Cultural Materials (OCM). English Short Title Catalogue

Provides descriptions and holdings information for letterpress materials printed in Great Britain or any of its dependencies in any language—as well as for materials printed in English anywhere else in the world. The U.S. Department of EducationÕs Educational Resource Information Center database. Contains citations and abstracts from over 980 educational and education-related journals. Also contains full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information. The University Library subscribes to many of the journals cited by ERIC (EJ citations) and receives the majority of ERIC documents (ED citations) on microfiche. Updated quarterly. ERIC/AE Test Locator

This site provides access to several test searches including - a link to the Education Testing Service site that will allow searching of the ETS Test Collection of records describing 20,000 tests and other measurement devices from the early 1900s to the present. - citations to reviews of educational and psychological tests and measures found in the Mental Measurements Yearbooks, Tests in Print, and Test Critiques (all available in Dimond Library Reference) - searchable directory of names and addresses of over 900 major commercial test publishers - a link to the Center for Equity and Excellence in Education Test Database, a collection of abstracts and descriptions of almost 200 tests commonly used with Limited English Proficient students.

Evans Digital Edition (1639-1800)

Based on the renowned American Bibliography by Charles Evans. The American Geological Institute's index database covering the international literature of geosciences. Includes North American geology from 1785 to the present and the geology of the rest of the world from 1933 to the present. Guidestar

A database of more than 850,000 U.S. charitable organizations providing information about the operations and finances of nonprofit organizations including the Form 990. The database can be searched by organization type, name, location, income range, EIN, or NTEE code. To search the database, users must register for a free password.

Handbook of Latin American Studies

A bibliography of Latin America consisting of works selected and annotated by scholars. Edited by the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress, the multidisciplinary Handbook alternates annually between the social sciences and the humanities. Dates of Coverage: 1935 - present.

Ingenta (formerly Uncover)

Ingenta includes a database of current article information taken from 17,000 multidisciplinary journals. Contains brief descriptive information about over 7,000,000 articles which have appeared since Fall 1988. Over 4000 current citations are added daily. In addition, Ingenta offers the opportunity to order fax copies of the articles from this database.

Infotrieve

provides email delivery of table of contents alerts. Users can register for an account and set up alerts from over 13,000 journals from all disciplines. Infotrieve also provides a document delivery service for articles not available in the UNH Libraries collections. The Articlefinder database provides access to over 30 million citations. Inter-play: An On-line Index to Plays in Collections, Anthologies and Periodicals

Contains approximately 19,000 citations to plays in English- and foreign-language collections, anthologies, and periodicals published since the late 19th century. Once a source title has been identified, search the UNH Library catalog by the source title to check if the Library has the collection, anthology or periodical. JStor Digitized Journals (for UNH users only)

A digital library of scholarly journals in the fields of higher education, anthropology, philosophy, sociology, economics, mathematics, history, and population studies. Contains summaries of 170,000 publications including Federal, state, and local government reports, books, research reports, journal articles, and unpublished research. Oxford English Dictionary Online (for UNH users only)

Contains the complete text of the 20-volume Second Edition, first published in 1989, together with its 3-volume Additions Series, published in 1993 (volumes 1 and 2) and 1997 (volume 3), and recent online updates. The National Library of Medicine has made Medline available free of charge on the Internet. Provides access to 9 million citations in MEDLINE and Pre-MEDLINE (with links to 24 participating on-line journals) and other related databases.

PubScience provides users the capability to search across a large compendium of peer reviewed journal literature with a focus on the physical sciences and related disciplines.

RILM Abstracts of Music Literature (for UNH users only)

Compiled by the Rˇpertoire International de Littˇrature Musicale, RILM Abstracts of Music Literature (1969-present) is the world's largest, continuously updated bibliography of music literature. Nearly a quarter of a million abstracts are drawn from articles, books, conference proceedings, bibliographies, catalogues, dissertations, festchriften, iconographies, critical commentaries to complete works, ethnographic recordings and videos, reviews, etc. You must have UNH student, faculty, or staff status to access RILM. Thomas Register

Thomas Register is a comprehensive online resource for finding companies and products manufactured in North America. Users can search by product, company, or brand name through more than 72,000 product headings and more than 170,000 company listings. To search the database, users must register for a free username and password. All fields must be filled when completing the registration form.

Ulrichsweb (for UNH users only)

A comprehensive worldwide bibliographic database including info. on over 250,000 serials publications. Users can pinpoint specific journals or conduct broad based subject or publisher surveys. The Web of Science accesses ISI citation databases, which are multidisciplinary databases covering thousands of scholary journals from the Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities.
